part of the reason is that Rio may not have found that poss extraction costs could have been much higher because of the heavy going terrain. That would have made sense given the fact that U308 was a quarter of its price not long ago and also Rios rossing mine was on the verge of shutting down because it was very close to not becoming a viable project because of the low grades, sure they had a big deposit, but very low grades!!
