One's established, one's getting there. Did Ebay stop making money when Alibaba came to town? Does Gumtree make money despite Ebay?

People advertise in more than one place, in different TV channels, different newspapers and different mediums. They want as much coverage as possible. Some will advertise in more than one medium, and others will advertise somewhere other than the majors for whatever reason. Noone is saying RNT will takeover #1 spot from REA, but as long as can keep getting a growing rate of ads, everything is fine.

Then RNT will get into selling realestate. Watch out REA. Ok maybe I'm a little eager. But there's enough there for more than one or even two companies. Notice RNT's MC is still a tad short of REAs
