Generally perfect parcels and lots of them one after another in a certain directions or in a certain manner.
Good way to notice them is to look at the time and parcel size. If you have lots of say, 10,000 share parcels within seconds of one another or at set intervals its generally a bot. They can also be churning, so selling and buying at same time to simulate volume.
Best way to think about it, they are computers running on rules defined in code. So look for behaviors that looks like they are just following set rules without fail.
Search HFT (high frequency trading) and let your education begin. In Aus its not as bad as in US, but still there. Almost none in NZ (if you invest across the water as well).
