    Pinetree,
While your 75 times is plainly preposterous even in a light weight chat forum, it is interesting to read how much is happening in Vanadium battery development. The action a few years ago was flowing from the Uni of NSW but in the last 2-3 year it does appear that the US Dept of Energy has made big strides in Vanadium battery performance. When a V flow battery was installed in Ohio, Obama described it as one of the coolest things he had come across, but didn't acknowledge that it was an Australian design. It helps of course that the US Energy Secretary is a Nobel prize winning physicist and keen to push on with smart-grids and power storage as both a climate change issue and an energy security issue. The US power grid is unstable and under-invested, so reliable power storage could mean savings in billions.

See the website of the small Canadian mining group Energizer for a run-down on developments. Often companies just rehash reportage by PR journalists, but this has a few facts. As previously noted the problem with vanadium batteries to date has been less to do with performance durability than the sheer cost of vanadium which is largely a function of supply. The more secure and reasonable the cost of V for groups like Panasonic, the greater the uptake.
