Cars running on electricity means cars running on coal. In a lot of places it means cars running on diesel generators. But don't get in the way of the green elite. Now, I believe in conservative (conservation) principles. But a the end of the day oil is here and must be here for a long time. In a cooling world the bigger problem may be we don't have enough. DYOR and read more widely. Too many people adopt narrow views because 'experts' said something in a newspaper. To reiterate, cars running on electricity means cars running on coal or diesel. Solar etc. will all assume a place in the energy mix and from a civil defence view that's good but oil is central to our immediate and intermediate futures. So too coal.
