OK,
Something to ponder or ridicule;
UNIS/Amgen negotiations extended aside.
Lets say Amgen wanted to buy 20% of UNIS on market. They get no look at the books and the SP ultimately rises as they purchase plus they notify their position at (x) %tage triggering a buy frenzy?
Behind doors negotiations of the two companies coming to an agreed price of the value of UNIS for 20% is open for conspiracy for many to commit insider trading. Not going down that rabbit hole.
What I am getting at is that to buy 20% of UNIS would increase the SP not only as sellers dried up but 'short's' covering. Shorts are banking the company dissolves as there is no need to buy back stock worth 0 dollars.
I would be surprised if a deal is done with Amgen, It would make at least an over buy spike in SP to at least exit point for shorters.
