Some would say a flip of the coin Fresh, however I don't subscribe to that theory as I believe they have been in demand by a few big players all year and some!
They could have raised Capital some time ago, they could have done a number of things but chose not to.
Something changed the timing and possibly the size of the Abbvie upfront and contract that they were expecting months ago, which may be a big reason that cash fell so low!
Yes a couple of yet unexplained decisions were made that can only be interpreted with the info so far as mistakes, but once the bidding for the Strategic Alliance was firmly announced, depending on how many interested parties there were, the MS Valuation, etc etc, like the announcement that the Abbvie relationship was very strong and that what would have been the contract that Abbvie was to sign was being increased in size, then you don't see as some are saying, that being, a desperate Unilife, frantically bailing out the boat as the waves were crashing down over the top, do you?
Now its possible that how I've explained the above didn't happen like that and that Unilife were desperate, I just don't think that's the case!
The other important thing to remember is that if you had signed a contract or were close to signing, you would probably slow things down a bit just to make sure your partner is not only going to make it, but be able to go forward with no cash flow problems and a renewed focus and sense of strength due to the new partner (Amgen) coming on board!
OMO, we are so close to at least finally turning the corner and will not have to look over our shoulders again!
