    Crazy yes. But when you consider what we have in the ground, the economics may make more sense than we think.

    I saw a fantastic post the other day which I should have saved. Not sure if it was on here or the WC8 forums, where it compared (based on current market prices) how projects in production are being valued compared to those in exploration phase on a per million tonne basis. It made for a very interesting read.

    It would be remiss of me to assume that I can calculate or predict the project economics, but when looking at Andover compared to Kathleen Valley, with the infrastructure in place and the nature of the deposit, I really don't see there being a $1bn CAPEX blowout.

    All of this needs to be factored in, so if SQM wants a top 3, potentially 2nd or dare I say potentially top lithium project in the world, then maybe they really do need to pay over odds to cement their place as the future largest lithium company in the world.

    Just my humble thoughts.
