I suspect Altura is already ironing out kinks in achieving higher throughput as part of their extensive commissioning which would otherwise seem unnecessarily prolonged. After all, we have seen many pictures of crushed ore 'product' for some time now. I would say that my suspicion that (when they finally make an announcement) we hit the ground running with high % of mine throughput would be in keeping with JB's behaviour to date - he's a several decade experienced miner whom understands the value in reaching expected annual production targets, and similarly, what not reaching them can do to the SP and shareholder confidence.
Anyway, that's my take: JB is concerned with bringing a low risk, reliable mining operation to the forefront rather than just hitting 'feel-good' rushed targets such as commissioning for the sake of a short term announcement, and then a year later having to announce that due to plant issues annual production targets could not be met.
