How on earth can I buy 18c at the open ? The openning price depends on the number of buy orders and sell orders. For examples, The buyer orders are: 100,000 at 20c 100,000 at 19c The sell orders are: 120,000 at 15c 81,000 at 18c 2,000,000 at 18.5c
The opening price at the above is 18c. However, if the seller at 15c or 18c withdraw back 1 share, eg sell order at 15c now is 119,999, the opening price is now at 18.5c.
Sometimes, you get a bargain at opening. Sometimes, you 'll get a dud. There 're also traps setting up right there, eg sell orders stacked up at very low price to lure buyers placed order, then suddenly they all withdraw after 10:08 or 10:10 depending how fast the trade server starts the process.
