"The funds obtained from the non-oncology platform would help to fund the oncology trials which have a lower barrier to entry because you are dealing with patients with terminal illnesses"
Yep that's what I am also thinking, although I believe it may happen much sooner than you think, it is worth remembering that diseases like Alzheimer's also make for a death sentence!
My reasons for saying that are as follows.
1/ Eli Lilly's own program for Alzheimer's isn't that promising even though they are going ahead with phase three trials, but even if it works or partially works? I have seen it written where there may be a need for more than one drug to come up with the answers to many indications, that would be similar to using both SBP and ATM drugs to beat cancer wouldn't it?
Eli Lilly already have the trial locations already set, they have the people, they have the patients, they have data from Phase one and two trial for Alzheimer treatment and they also have the money, it will cost them a lot less to fund this sort of partnership than it would to buy the drugs from other pharma's on the market, OK Novogen could wait another year or two? but what they stand to earn by getting to market quicker in a partnership would make more sense I believe and if this happens then the SP will rise by a fair margin I believe and then the six month oppies come into play and possibly the other oppies as well maybe?
2/ Novogen have stated that they do not have the funds to do both oncology and non oncology, so they will stick with their main target, they have already said that.
3/ when something is patented, the quicker it goes to trials and gets FDA approval the more money it makes, that is a given.
4/ Novogen are going at break neck speed to patent non oncology drugs from the ATM and the SBP pipeline, if their intention is to wait then why the rush to start the patent clock.
5/ The Biggest clue is GK said he will be there looking after Novogen shareholders interests, he also said he was going to work in the non oncology area, I don't believe it is that hard to put the pieces together IMHO.
