Their business model focuses on the merchant and the retention of their customer to them. Afterpay are a BNPL operator but they are also a retailer that literally markets and sells products to their merchants clients.
I think because the merchants make so much additional revenue due to BNPL operators they haven’t worried about it to this point. However loosing their clients I think could a good reason to consider Limepay. Puma, Accur, EB Games and Domain just to name a few are already using them.
Limepay have a gun exec team. Including Dan Peter ex google for 12 years. Have also made a number of high profile senior appointments.
They have raised loads of capital and building nicely for a late 2021 listing.
DYOR and just my personal opinion but as you can tell, I think they will genuinely distrust the BNPL industry, it won’t happen in 5 minutes but I believe it will happen overtime.
