Apologies in advance for my post, but it does come from a sense of frustration. Frustration that the RHC share price is low, but also frustration with the state of our health system, both in Victoria where I live and also nationally.

We all know that private hospitals are necessary, especially given that the state run hospitals (certainly here in Victoria) are understaffed and underfunded. But I'm wondering whether, a future government and I'm thinking specifically a Liberal government (eg in Victoria), might look at selling off some of the state run hospitals to raise money to reduce the debt that certain premiers/treasurers have incurred. Obviously there would be a massive public outcry, and rightly so, but if the government were to do this but placed some deal in place to ensure that our vulnerable members of the community were still looked after and were still bulk billed (eg the state government provides some financial payments to the company that buys the state hospital) then could companies like RHC have a potentially brighter future. A future that would involve receiving government funding to run these newly acquired hospitals, and one that was therefore less reliant on health funds and individuals to support?

Anyway, after much mulling, and a positive recommendation from one of the contributing stock brokers to yesterday's Herald Sun, I've decided to buy more RHC at this level.
