I think it all depends on when the company comes to know market sensitive information i.e. the actual MRE figures.

If this info is received while shares aren't trading (overnight for example), and they prepare an announcement to release on next market open, then that's ok. However, if the information is known by the company while trading, and they are not in a position to immediately drop an announcement, then a trading halt should be called while the announcement is prepared and released.

That's my understanding of the disclosure rules, and at any rate hope to see the MRE anno drop ASAP
