I don't think that it's just the Chairman. I'm reliably informed that the CEO also wants it to be 'all about him' and threatens drastic action if specialised help outside his skillset is even discussed! As a result, the relationship can be very delicate and quite dysfunctional?
Imo this is certainly not in the best interests of all shareholders and probably explains at least some of the problems that your group is concerned about?
