As I was rolling it around in my mind last night I started to wonder if that explains the excursion into US oil. Was Linc encountering more technical difficulties than they expected and they sought to diversify away from UCG?

Also, things like the economics of Velocys began to look a bit strained the more you dug into it. The ongoing costs of the catalyst, I recall, were a significant outgoing.

The thing which pulls me up is just how uncertain investing can be. I was completely convinced of the merits of Linc .... now I can see that I misjudged things comprehensively.
