This mine has been closed for nearly 12 months. The port and rail capacity to Abbot Point would has been cancelled and taken up by others.

I guess Singapore listing to attract new investors capital is required to start up this coal mine in 2014. All prerequisite conditions here for the semi IPO in Singapore, and it looks like no turning back. Time will tell if it is a good or a bad decision...

"The Blair Athol Mine ceased operations in November 2012. New Emerald Coal expects the acquisition to become unconditional within six months and mining to recommence shortly after. New Emerald Coal will reopen the mine with a view to produce up to 3 million tonnes of thermal coal per year"
