Yesterday the Courier Mail in Qld had an article about the State Government dropping all charges against the Linc directors who had been charged with environmental damage at Chinchilla that stopped the whole project and led to the demise of the company.
It had been claimed that it was the largest environmental damage ever in the state.

In today's Courier Mail there is an article about the judge in the case wanting to know why the case was being dropped.

The question on my lips is why would this be happening?
Is the judge surprised that such claimed damage is being allowed to go unanswered or, is the judge suspicious that the whole thing was a stitch-up by the government against a perfectly legitimate listed company where the shareholders suffered substantial financial losses?

What I know is that this whole thing needs sorting out and that if it is found that corruption is involved then extensive compensation should be forthcoming.
Sovereign risk does not only exist in third world countries but increasingly it is being used to stop legal businesses in Australia that do not meet the crazy requirements of green socialist groups.
