This just shows how far Australia has slipped down the slope towards government corruption and manipulation.
The Labor Party, and their socialist friends, believe that the end justifies any means by which that end is achieved. What people don't realize is that once a government starts this dishonest practice then it is all down hill to total corruption after that.
Australia was once one of the most corruption free and trusted countries in the world, but now it will be looked at by overseas investors as being just as crooked as any other despotic country anywhere in the world.
Judge Leanne Clare SC obviously was very suspicious of the Governments motives which prompted her to call for an explanation as to why the action, after huge financial damage to shareholders and alleged damage to the area around Chinchilla, was so suddenly dropped.
The action up to this point was reported to have cost The Government in the region of $45-$50 million.
It now should be obvious that it was all to help them win an election by appeasing the Greens.

The amount spent so far should be explained to the Qld taxpayers as to why it was wasted, and a listed company was crucified, if there really was not any basis to the charges to which they were being accused.

If both the Queensland Opposition and the Federal LNP do not take this up and run with it for the next election campaign then they do not deserve to win.
This is a gift from the ALP to the LNP, and several minor parties to show Australians just how untrustworthy the Labor Party really is.

I call on especially the minor parties to take this up as I doubt that the LNP has the guts for it.
