I cannot disagree with you on that as Bondy seemed like a kid in a lolly shop after getting the cash from Adani.
I contacted the company at the time expressing my worries regarding the spending of multi millions on old oil wells in the US.
The Yanks are the masters of oil wells and they would be unlikely to be selling wells that were not knackered.
I know Link's idea was to use carbon dioxide from the coal conversion to pressurize the old wells and force the oil to the surface but they had to spend heaps on getting the wells into legal shape.
When the company was buying it's own shares because Bondy could not see a better investment into which to put the company's money I was very concerned and told them so.
My argument was that we were going to need that money down the road and I was right. They could not just resell the shares to raise money as they were no longer worth much.
Don't get me started on Alaska as that had been tried by the best in the business and given up on.

My thinking has always been if the main man buys a big boat or especially an island, then it is time to head for the hills.

All this being said, that does not alter the fact that Linc was not given a fair go at Chinchilla and the Greenies and the government conspired against them in order for the government to win the state election.

The public are waking up to this Global Warming BS.
I am 73 and the greenies have been peddling this rubbish for 55 years that I know of. It has been the coldest winter here in Brisbane that I have experienced in decades.
Search " Earth Day 1970" and see how much of that drivel has come true.
It scares the tripe out of young people and has set the world back decades.

Fifty five years ago scientists were mainly worried about a coming Ice Age. Now it is mostly warming and they say trust the science. How can the science change in 55 years?
It is always 12 years to the end and after 5 years have expired it is still 12 years.

They still never proved proof of concept.

Not once did they give any production figures to satisfy they can do it consistently and efficiently. a little bit like asx IGE. Told and sold the story and the potential . But could not back it up. They upscaled so fast and got too greedy shot them selves in the foot.
