thank you - I feel confident now it is the correct move. It is very hard going into a new area as we have never been interested in shares until changes to the super fund rules. It is amazing what I have picked up since my first purchase lst March 07. I spend hours a day on my "tiny" shares but it is not a chore as I find it exciting. I am keen to learn candlesticks and general charting. Basically what I am saying is that I am prepared to put in the hard yards. I think the other decision I made this morning - to place funds when available in Sept. into the Lincoln Managed fund. Initially I thought "just buy BHP, WOW RIO CBA and you can't go wrong. My total lack of experience tells me to go with a fund initially for a couple of years. I noted talking to Lincoln Melb this morning about their manged fund that Macquarrie is not one of their Star stocks - it surprised me. Just goes to show my inexperience because that is one I would have chosen for a blue chip portfolio.
