Hi Spid, I think the strip ratio in reality will be higher than 4.4. The reason being that the low grade ore won't be processed for many years (if at all), instead it will be stockpiled. I would think the strip ratio of waste plus low grade ore should be divided by high grade plant feed ore only. The cost of mining this low grade "ore" is probably capitalised rather than included in operating costs as well, thereby disguising the real operating costs.
