5 years from now anybody under 30 wont even know what a telephone is!
Right now nobody under 25 knows who Telstra is, its totally irrelevant and with chip technology making it all faster and more efficient the transfer of digital data especially voice traffic will see actual handsets act as exchanges making infrastructure a thing of the past.
Hard wired phones could be finished off today!
