i disagree that its corporate culture to pay bonuses / incentives to execs.
its only corporate culture to do it in poor corporate governanced company's only, and those usually go to bankruptcy soon after.
well governed company's don't need to entice their board further, the project (how brilliant is our ore) self drives them and their respective rewards.
