well, that could probably be because there is nothing on linux you would want to run on windows, but there is everything on windows you would want to run on linux. Just like MAc users want to run windows apps on Mac, but windows users well there is nothing on Mac you would want to run in windows.
well off the top of my head
Windows can play all the games on the market, Linux can play a small couple .
Windows can run all the office suite like Outlook, Linux has Thunderbird which does about 5% of what outlook can.
Linux version of office is the same as microsofts was 15 years ago.
Windows can run all the apps, like graphics, utilities etc.. Linux cant run any of them and has cheap tacky beta replacement's like GIMP
Windos file browse totally destroys the ones linux has you can choose from, and does not have any of the same features like windows file browser does for viewing and searching.
Windows has full Driver support, linux only has driver for recent hardware, good luck trying to find drivers for that raid controller or older chipset.
Windows fix their bugs promptly, linux fix it when they get around to it.
Windows software developers fix thier bugs and make their apps stable as they are paid, linux apps are written by hobbiests and work on it when they have time or feel like it.
That is only just scratching the surface, if you want to go deeper you can look at linux is just file based config files, where as windows has registrys and XML
You can configure most things in windows with the GUI, most of the stuff in linux you have to drop back to the shell
Skype on linux sucks and is not as full as windows
Adobe have stopped making reader for linux
Very limited options for software to install on linux.
KDE / GNOME / Unity / XFCE / etc none have the professional finish of windows desktop or the same amount of options to configure your computer with.
