Have used Linux Mint exclusively for around seven years ,it just gets better each time there is a new issue and Mint 17 is supported fully for some years yet .
Only time I use Windows is due to the ATO not being up to speed with their tax software.
Due to this I have a dual boot with Linux Mint and Windows .
My preference is for the Mate option because it is traditional and even Windows users can feel at home using it although Ossies are noted for their lack of adventure always preferring the easy way by simply buying even though the equal is available at zero cost.
