Summary of outlook and developments in the Group’s Gold Mining and Exploration Portfolio

To date, the Group has completed or is in the midst of completing the acquisitions of up to 17 gold mining
and exploration licenses in 4 countries namely, Mali, Ghana, Mongolia and the Philippines. It has ordered
modular gold recovery plants to be initially deployed in some tenements in Mali and Ghana. It is the
Group’s intention to gradually launch gold production over the next two quarters, pending the successful
commissioning of these modular gold recovery plants there.
