Dear NightStalker,

Are you really saying that Lynas' is too big to fail now? That is Lynas were to be stopped now that no one would invest in Malaysia?

It is a solid argument in my view. As you note, the money spent on building the LAMP was huge. Further, you infer that the benefit of employment, showing the world that sovereign risk is low in Malaysia, and the revenue generated by Lynas through taxes etc. all butress the idea that Lynas must succeed.

That is my view having moved on from the early skirmishes with SMSL. As the appeals move higher in the courts two things happen directly related to Malaysia, time passes allowing the company to prove safety and workability of the LAMP; and the court decisions reviewing the Minister's decision to grant the TOL and the TOL itself become harder to successfully appeal.

I have written on the appeals point earlier and won't repeat it now.

My view is that shortly, the shorters and naysayers will be off the company's scene. The company is not out of the woods yet, with two important hearings to be run, but I expect that it soon will be. When all certainty and doubt is lifted that is when I expect to see real and meaningful price movements upwards. Until then we must be patient knowing the games are not yet over.
