Good summary Jan, point is Liow is the deputy president of the Malaysian Chinese Association (MCA), a major component party of the BN ruling coalition.
Clearly his agenda, from within the Govt, is appealing to his Chinese voters, who formed the initial opposition to the LAMP.
Hopefully a successful by-product strategy will put an end to it but there may be more of this up until the election.
