Sydney - Wednesday - September 21: (RWE Aust Business News)
Newly-listed Liquefied Natural Gas Ltd has signed a memorandum of intent with a major Indian industrial group for the 15-year supply of up to 365,000 tonnes a year (1000 tonnes a day) of liquefied natural gas (LNG)
to the customer's operations in Southern India.
The company's total LNG supply under memorandums of intent is now up to 1.35 million tonnes a year (3700 tonnes a day). The LNG will be used by the new customer to replace its present use of higher-priced oil-based products. Shares in Liquefied Natural Gas yesterday rose 4c to 28c, which is the highest price since listing on September 14. Issue price was 20c.
