    Why screwed? They have to pay out Aust and in return, Aust has to hand over their shares, the rest of shareholders will be the next step.

    The minimum buy price would have been set during the hearing, there is no way a Federal Judge would have approved the deal otherwise, the independent valuer report only comes into play if a higher valuation than what was agreed to by Minres comes in.

    Not long to go...anything under AU$1bil is a bargain buy for MiN, but still very good for holders..MIN is buying this with the view of where ROW/non China demand will be for the next 10yrs and what prices will be for Li...keeping in mind that the EV transition has just gained critical momentum and the affordable/mass market segment is not even serviced yet, those vehicles are coming to non-China markets around now and in half decent numbers in, but they are still ~2 years away from non Chinese manufactures, so the demand curve is ok now but still very low from where it will be.
