Definitely not being hard on myself.

If all those I mentioned couldn't pick anything except rainbows how could I see it as otherwise. I still think at the time I chose wisely.

The only difference is in the last part of your post
"The worst thing to do is bury one's head in the sand and steer clear of capital markets (not suggesting you would).

Get back on the horse and we never know we may strike lucky and recover losses quicker than expected.".

For some of us the horse has bolted. We can't get back on.

Not everybodys situation is so cut and dried and as easy as yours [and thankfully most others here] whereby you are employed, have many years of employment left thus a maximum potential to move on, superanuation still being accumulated on your behalf, and the opportunity to recover these losses through offsetting future capital gains. A lot of light at the end of the tunnel.

A number of us posters are now retired [I could, but won't name those here in that situation], have put our savings and superannuation in to Newsat, have no time left to recoup losses, do not have a wage or any income stream to help pay the bills, have nothing left to reinvest so as to utilise our capital losses to advantage, and are now consigned to the rest of our lives on the aged pension with nothing to top it up to take a holiday or anything else from now on and yet even then we remain philosophical. It's the way it goes sometimes. Win some lose some, BUT we all deserve a fair shot at getting it right and we did not deserve an Adran Ballintine doing this to us.

I know several who are now destitute and one who is going to have to sell their house.

I also know of one who is not and whos mansion, superannuation, savings, and lifestyle  is safe.
    ADRIAN BALLINTINE!!!!

With the above explanation it may be more possible to understand our passion for pursuing justice. Money gone but justice still possible. Yes a class action is proceeding. Yes his sale of shares is ALREADY receiving attention and yes, we will at least stop people who so willfully do this from repeating it on others.
