@Gunslinger27 Not exactly sure what you mean by that comment but to clarify.
To the best of my knowledge (Not to be taken as Gospel) the ATO considers the shareholder to be still holding an asset until the company is fully wound up and deregistered as a company.
Just because it is not listed on ASX anymore, doesn't mean you don't still own it. It means you don't have a public market to trade it. If anyone was desperate to claim the loss at the end of this FY they should do off market trade before end of FY. That can be done with anyone you chose or someone like https://www.delisted.com.au
