With the current state of the lithium market, reserves are almost meaningless. Take Orocobre as an example: their reserves are over 400x their annual production. No one modelling a company's market cap is going to put much value into what a company is earning 20 years from now, let alone 100 or 400. As long as a company has enough reserves to triple/quadruple their current production, and still have resources to last a good 20+ years, I don't think reserves is a good metric to base value on. Unlike gold, cobalt, vanadium or alot of other resources I could mention, finding decent lithium resources is not that difficult....producing it is.
