Nearing the point we may have to put someone in a ute (or borrow KPMG’s chopper) for a long haul out to Wiluna for a recce. Although we can’t just sidle up to locals at the old Club Hotel anymore as it’s permanently closed. Nevertheless maybe there are a few site workers left still lurking around the Traders store or the community pool over the weekend who can tell us exactly what’s been going on at the site over the past ten months. Is it in care & maintenance, what results if any have been achieved with the plant & trenches, have they successfully produced a small quantity of absolutely anything yet, does the ghost of Tony Swiericzuk bathe in the ponds by moonlight, are the Administrators attempting to get it trading, is anyone being paid, what’s the site security like, etc.
Creditors & investors may all be dead before the gammons at KPMG open their mouths or KordaMentha/Macquarie report any meaningful progress with negotiations to date.
