One of those principles is to do business with people who are a cultural fit with the organisation, and whom we like and admire. This applies applies across all stakeholders - staff, customers and suppliers. Another principle is that I run my business in a way that suits me. Any other way, and I'm effectively prostituting myself, and losing one of the reasons I'm in business in the first place: I value my independence. And why prostitute yourself if you're shooting the lights out? The final principle pertinent to this discussion is based on a common saying: 'Mind your own business'. That is NOT in any way meant to be a derogatory term, so don't get me wrong. What it actually means - and it took me a while to understand this - is that there are a myriad number of factors that go into making a correct decision. What may be "obvious" to an outsider might not necessarily be a key determinant in the business owner's final decision. There are things a business owner weighs up, which an outsider is sometimes not even aware of.

You are making a rod for your own back. No sensible owner of a Company introduces politics into decisions making. It’s a cancer that offers no benefits to the culture of an organization- you are naive if you think otherwise. Its serves no purpose to make enemies out of customers or staff to appease your political sensibilities. Your politics are YOUR OWN - you don’t need to tarnish the reputation of your company with such small mindedness.
