i made no assumptions of having a complete comprehension of chaos theory. but considering that the prognostigations of your bretherin have so far been somewhat lacking, id say the idea that was discussed in the program has merit.
no matter how good your modeling is you will never predict accurate global temperature fluctuations or sea level heights - e.g. to say that sea levels will rise a metre in a 100 years is based upon bias and known data and assumptions; you cannot say with a 100% certainty that this will happen. a small change in the intial data can change the predictions to an infinite degree and you can not engineer a model to take into account those variables.
