    I’m not sure that beyond the impact on lungs it is direct attack on organs unless you count the whole circulatory system as an organ. As I understand what I’ve read the damage to other various organs comes about from the cascading impact of the immune system response as well as the successive impact on different parts of the body.

    the angiotensin–aldosterone system is implicated somehow
    a good few years ago I was experiencing hyponetremia which doctors couldn’t fix (long story but basically kept telling me to do the wrong thing). Anyway in sheer frustration I sat down to nap the system as best I could so I could make sense of it. At that point I started to understand just vaguely the complex interconnection between everything. Screw one thing up and it doesn’t take much for the rest of the system to fall apart.
