There was a case for selling stocks when the SP was seriously overvalued but I think that once 50 was breached and now I would contend it isn't the case. You are right, time will tell but it depends upon the timeframe of choice for the holders. It always looks easy in hindsight but that is the same conumdrum as comparing an historical chart with looking at a chart right edge in real time and pondering what lies to the right of that point.
