Glad that someone else noticed the same pattern independently. To me it looks like it has been going on without let up for much if not all of this current downleg. I think that some are looking/waiting for the big bang institutional intervention to save the day but maybe it has been going on all along but restricted by the relatively low supply volumes on offer and strategy to keep the buying under wraps. Any attempt to even modestly increase demand would likely cause the SP to move up sharply in these conditons hence the contrived low key accumulation.
I am not sure which chart you mentioned, is it the medium term weekly bar chart comparing the two recent 4C retracement periods or the big picture log weekly or monthly?
