How times have changed. Nowadays, these people instead receive tax payer funded incentives and appear on boutique investment shows, charmingly replying to pre-arranged questions. Surprisingly, these video interviews always have the comments section turned off. Several times a year a complicated capital raising drive is put into place with deposits being taken for partially paid shares, which can then be converted to fully paid shares with another transfer, half a cent or so discounted from the current share price. Once these shares are purchased by the 'investor', they are instantly sold and the share price drops yet another cent before the exercise is repeated, leaving long term holders in the dust over time. Public revelations about these schemes are then met with 'Schadenfreude' from bystanders, finding enjoyment in other peoples misfortunes, to the tune of: "Your own fault" and "I would have known better". This is why forums like these are so useful in illuminating the cleverly constructed stages of these plays. All said, 'enjoy' the video and so looking forward to the next LIT financial report.
