I wasn't referring to Tesla/Musk, although Tesla have begun exporting LFP Tesla's from China to Europe.
I was referring to CEZ contemplating vertical integration and building their own Gigafactory. Currently their are no gigafactories in Europe focused on LFP yet the demand for LFP batteries in stationary storage is expected to be 30% of total market (according to Wood Mackenzie) and clearly building in EV. You can't build a gigafactory without cathode material, and China virtually monopolises the LFP supply chain. Hence the fit.
Not sure what you are on about the $21m hole dug. How much does it cost to develop a cathode business?
