Personally dont agree with Nuclear energy for Australia. Yes its a solution, but is it the right long term sollution to get hooked on.


IMO nuclear is a stopgap for say the next 3 decades until green energy takes the slack or nuclear fusion is available.



The issue being that if rising CO2 is as dangerous as scientists are saying, then rather than let CO2 levels get out of hand we need to act fast and the quickest way for now is fast-breeder nuclear plants.


But modern plants are much a safer and they can also remove some stored waste from old reactors.


Australia should be leading the way and set the benchmark for Solar leading the way for other countries that are filling up the earth bubble full of pollution, That air and water they pollute in China and USA, Russia is the same air everyone is breathing in.


Australia was once the world leader regarding solar panels but we did not act and now China is making the money.



With the advances in Solar Energy Graphine Quantum Dotz can capture up to 89% of the suns energy, compaired to 29% from Silicon solar panels that are the norm in Australia. With the ability to store this power using new technologies. Vanadium batteries fits well into this space as storage of electricity.

And at what scale will these innovations be working?

Given rapidly rising CO2 levels is seen as a very important and urgent issue.



If only countries could be weened of the oil tit faster, To start with Goverments need to start building white roads NOT black to help with warming, just a nats hair start making it compulsory to have white roofs.


Market forces will probably decide how long it takes to wean the world of fossil fuels, but the fossil lobby groups are not going to give up their monopolies without a fight---- as seen by the number of denier groups they support.
