Hi GPV, here's a HC link from a PIO thread which gives an insight into why currently good quantities of lithium bearing hard rock spodumene is what the market is hoping for in drilling results. I'm still learning myself but this post explains the current process of extracting Lithium from lepidolite mica http://hotcopper.com.au/threads/about-lithium-mica-lepidolite.2759182/#post-17632988 . The comments from @blastfurnace gives you an idea of why PIO was smashed after their announcement i.e. the market was hoping for spodumene at Pioneer Dome and they received lepidolite mica. Just a few weeks prior to PIO, DKO price did something similar, in that a big rise in anticipation of good results as their physical boundary is next to PLS and their was a big hope that the PLS goodness run under the fence into DKO territory. In their case it was the amount of Spodumene in the results which was the disappointment to the market.
