And quite rightly so - but you seem rather confused over the reason for disagreement. Past a certain point (which I'd argue we're well past already) energy density becomes one of the most minor concerns - it's not exactly expensive to buy up a few hectares on the outskirts of your average city. Far more important are scalability, long-term stability and ease of maintenance. That's why I've repeatedly argued that flow batteries (despite much lower energy density than lithium) are clearly superior for these applications. Zero chance of them catching fire as well. Save the lithium for mobile applications where you absolutely need the best capacity-to-weight ratio.
