Neil Pendock does a bunch of remote sensing interps., not just usual mineral reflectance studies but also processing Sentinel 2 data for atmospheric gases. H2, He, methane, ethane being quite readily detectable. These gases can be a signature for certain types of mineralisation.

Here in his latest post he highlights that Lake Mackay shows up as a massive Helium anomaly, which is indicative of Lithium potential as Li and clay can generate helium through thermal neutron capture.

    Here is the post. https://www.linkedin.com/feed/update/urn:li:activity:7074008338920804352/

Does anyone know if AMN have ever measured Li concs in their brines or assayed clay horizons in their bores for Li?????? If not maybe they should.

Alternatively, He is a decay product of Uranium radioactive decay; Does Lake Mackay also contain channel uranium deposits? A quick once over samples with a
    Scintillometer should do the trick.
