    Cobalt is really a secondary consideration if you look at energy sectors, lithium is proving to be the newest emerging energy on the market. at present it still hasn't settled into its own pricing yet but that will change and there is a lot of truth in comparing lithium as the 'white oil'. It's certainly regarded as white gold by some and its not greed rather forward wishful thinking. we want to herald the renewables in without delay!
    So for your information, they make plenty of lithium batteries free of cobalt. In fact what you said - the opposite it closer to the truth. Cobalt is a great metal but not nessasary in Lithium batteries
