The Chinese play book
1. Overstate how much conversion capacity you have so that additional mines will open causing over supply due to lack of capacity.
2. Force prices down for lithium.
3. Cripple mines
4. Bail mines out for pennies on the dollar with JV or buy out, gaining leverage towards further fixing prices for the future.
5. Send Joe Lowery out to spread the word that China can not be competed with in the conversion market.
The only way to fix this is to open more Conversion facilities outside of China, and quit expecting the Chinese to tell the truth about anything they do.
