And its been building over time. I think that most folks (even some here) are not aware that EVs have been around since the 1830s. I can remember my father telling me that during the war, when he got shore leave (British Navy), he would drive an ELECTRIC TRUCK delivering milk for a London dairy for a week or so to help his family (1940s). Said he enjoyed the silence and couldn't wait for all cars to run off batteries. To him it was a no brainer if they could solve the battery tech. A pity he passed away before he could see the wisdom of his words come to fruition. He would have traded his Merc for a Tesla in the blink of an eye.
