My take: This was a no brainer for VW's Porsche after proof that Croatia's Rimac had produced a superior electric car. Word has it that they (Porsche) were so impressed with Rimac's electric technology that they wanted in, so they could share in their superior technology to use in the new electric Porsche's. So here's the stats: Rimac's car can accelerate to 100kmph in 1.85 seconds. Its got a top speed of 258 "MILES"ph and has a range of 650km (400 miles). Furthermore, it has a battery that can be charged to 80% in 30 minutes.

A gigantic leap in electric tech and another step to allay the fear of range anxiety. Clearly, there can be no doubt now that competition between auto manufacturers is driving the EV race at an unimaginable speed. A mere year ago EV range was tapped out at circa 300km with a recharge time of 6/8 hours. Now we're looking at 650km range and half an hour to charge (80%). If progress continues at this rate we will see 1,000km range by this time next year with a recharge time of 20 minutes (I'm speculating based on the above history).

Should this speculation transpire into reality, which is well within the realm of possibility, then I believe that the demand for EVs will accelerate beyond the wildest predictions of any lithium bulls. So translate that into lithium demand - on top of plane's train's, ships, the Ag sector and battery storage, and let's see what that does for PLS by the end of 2020. I'm with Pokerface at $10 - for good reason .
